Letter from the Editor

(A meta-letterĀ  — A Letter about the Letter)

Dear CTR Visitor,

On page 2 of each monthly issue of CTR (available by subscription for $24/year), I write a letter that summarizes the current trends and research on children’s interactive media. Each of these letters picks up on the theme of the cover, and previews the Editor’s Choice selections (the highest rated products) of the month.

This letter is pasted on the front page of our site each month (we make it a “sticky” page in WordPress). So if you’re broke, or just cheap and don’t want to subscribe, I recommend reading this letter to get a quick summary of the month’s news.

We understand the importance of keeping our site free and relevant; this letter is our way of doing this.

But you should also know that we only post summary reviews, and because we don’t take advertising, we reserve the full reviews and database access for our subscribers (which, of course, we hope you’ll consider becoming!).

This concludes this letter about the letter.

Sincerely yours,

Warren Buckleitner, Editor
