Wanted: Authors of Fake iTunes Reviews
June 15th, 2011 posted by buckleit
Just curious — Have you ever written a fake review forĀ iTunes or Amazon.com? Would you like to clear your conscience? I’d like to find publishers who are paying people to write positive reviews.

I am very interested in seeing what info you get on this. It’s pretty clear in iOS app reviews that people are putting in favorable reviews for their own products.
For example, I looked at one storybook done in China. The English version was mangled (there was also Chinese as an option). Incorrect grammar, incorrect words, and even mangled pronunciation. An example: peequ-oo (that’s the closest I can get) for Pinocchio. I mean, come on, you can’t find a native speaker of English to do a narration?
And the reviews praised the product. Needless to say, my review was not so hot.
