We’ve had a very busy month here at CTR. Besides the news coming out of ISTE, we’ve launched a new, much more powerful version of the CTREX database.

We’ve also been testing smart watches (or connected wrist computers) from both Apple (The Apple Watch) and Microsoft (the Microsoft Band), and we’ve previewed Windows 10, Microsoft’s next operating system, which includes a new Kids’ Corner feature.

While in New York for CE Week, we also spotted an interesting new 3D printer called the Form 1+ that uses an optical forming process rather than the typical extrusion method. Here’s that preview video. This isn’t technology you’ll want a child to use, but it is fascinating to know about. Look for more coverage, plus 30 fresh reviews in your full July issue.

Also don’t miss the free LittleClickers column, called “Fun Food and Veggie Facts.”
