RIO 2 (Official App for the Movie)

Review Excerpt: In case you missed the movie, this 19 screen book-like app relives the key moments of how a family of macaw parrots finds a new home. Besides the story, presented as a page-flipper with touch-and-hear, English-only text and clear narration, there are three nicely leveled games and a coloring book. The games have been expanded since the first Rio movie app, which didn’t stray far from Bejeweled. This time, three games let you play a slingshot game called Sky Soccer, a whack-a-mole type of game with monkeys that could be fun for multiple players, and fruit crusher, where you use a slingshot to make fruit patterns. The coloring activity offers all the typical tools, with a nice fill option, and the ability to instantly save your work.
